A gold medal from Czechoslovakia is in the spotlight in an upcoming sale presented by Antium Aurum. Bidding is currently underway for Auction XVI, with the sale ending September 29, 2022.

Dated 1929, the Czechoslovakia Gold Medal was produced to commemorate the completion of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. The medal’s reverse depicts the cathedral, which took nearly 600 years to build. Graded NGC MS 66, this rarity (lot 456) is the only example recorded in the NGC Census, and it leads the sale with a starting price of € 50,000 (about $50,000).
